STARTING AUGUST 20, SUNDAY

Recently the leadership has discerned that as we are out of the covid season, it might be wise to adjust how we are providing the livestream. As a church, we always want to reevaluate how we are using technology and make sure we are still using it in a way that blesses the church community. We still believe providing a live stream to ill or out-of-town congregants is valuable and a great way to bless those who are unable to attend the Lord's Day Service in-person. Additionally, we believe that one of the duties of church pastors is to shepherd the flock eagerly and as one who will have to give an account (1 Peter 5:1-4, and Hebrews 13:17). One of the challenges of the live stream has been not knowing who is joining us in the live stream and caring for those people, whether sick, out-of-town, visiting, or watching from home. For in-person attendance, shepherding the church is much more natural as pastors and leaders can greet congregants, ask how they are doing, and pray for them in person. Online, this has not been possible.

To continue to steward the livestream well and care for our church, we will be adding a simple login process to our live stream viewing on Sunday, Aug 20th. This will allow our pastors to be able to follow up and check in on those who are joining us online. Our prayer is that as we implement this login process, we will be able to care for those who are sick or away, connect with visitors more intentionally, and warmly encourage all to attend the Lord's Day Service in-person when they are physically able. The livestream will now be found at www.evergreensgv.org/live. Additionally Youtube and Live.evergreensgv.org will not longer host the livestream.
